- Designing and installing event-specific audio and video systems for any venue, any size, anywhere in the country.
- Building and tuning sound systems, ground supported or flown
- Operating large format analog and digital mixing consoles
- Managing all audio content, contributing music and other instant sound cues to enhance the event’s dynamics and flow
- Controlling audio feeds to the press, satellite rooms, video recordings or interpreters
- Focusing and balancing projectors for a crisp and consistent image
- Building and testing video distribution systems
- Operating video switchers, scalers and video playback machines
- Managing / editing digital and analog video content on site for live playback
- Developing and carrying out a “show flow”
- Instructing the technical crew during rehearsals
- Calling second-by-second cues to department leads in audio, video, lighting and staging
- Acting as the main contact for all performers and presenters, directing them in the on-stage technology and important staging cues.
- Managing wireless audio systems and backstage amp racks / processors
- Leading the production crew in the building of an A/V system
- Assigning roles to crew members, and guiding them in carrying out their duties
- Collecting, organizing and updating PowerPoint and Keynote slideshows throughout the event
- Working with presenters during slide reviews and onsite rehearsals to make final edits to their slides
- Ensuring visual consistency and proper playback of embedded media within the presentation
